How we Started

Adelphi Group was founded by Roy Chiew, Renee Gan, and Jimmy Boon with a vision to elevate the dining scene in Kota Kinabalu through their passion and dedication to hospitality. Starting as a small, humble cafe in 2015, Adelphi Cafe quickly gained popularity.

David Lee from Inch Coffee later joined the management team, enhancing the restaurant's beverage offerings and helping it evolve into a renowned destination for great steak and wine.

In 2019, they opened Pound inside Jesselton Mall, right next to Suria Mall, which quickly became a local favorite for Western cuisine, specializing in pizza and steak. It’s also become the first restaurant in the area to offer dry-aged beef, making it a treat for steak lovers.

In 2021, the Adelphi Group expanded with the opening of Jojo at Sutera Avenue, just opposite Imago Mall. Offering a delightful menu and a charming setting, perfect for enjoying drinks and dining with friends and family. It is also becoming known as a steak and wine spot, with a stunning newly built wine cellar.

In 2022, Adelphi Cafe rebranded and became Kinsly Restaurant, a beloved neighborhood gem in Damai. Known for its distinctive charm and ever-evolving menu, Kinsly offers a dining experience like no other. Perfect for those seeking a unique culinary adventure in a warm, inviting atmosphere for gatherings.
